From the President's desk

Kevin CarverSil-Pro's in house tool shop coupled with our silicone and thermoplastic molding capabilities puts us in a unique position to take a project from start to finish. We can go from quick turn prototype tooling/parts all the way through state of the art fully automated manufacturing cells that are created by our own automation group. To add further value we also offer assembly and final packaging capabilities. Having Sil-Pro do the assembly and packaging means less wasteful handling and lower product cost. Our focus on lean principles throughout the manufacturing process enables us to reduce cost while improving product quality. On top of reducing cost, another significant advantage is our ability to cut lead time out of your project. Quality Road Map

Boston Scientific 2010 Rhythm Award

Our quality roadmap brought us to our recently completed ISO 13485:2003 registration. We recognized early on as part of our corporate stretegic direction, that to achieve finished medical devices and subassemblies, we needed to upgrade quality systems from ISO9001:2008 to include ISO13485:2003.

ISO 13485 quality standard specifies quality system requirements to ensure consistent manufacturing of medical devices.

"This achievement demonstrates our continuous improvement with the addition to our existing certification of ISO 9001:2008 stated Kevin Carver, President of Sil-Pro.

It also exemplifies Sil-Pro's total support to the medical device industry. And it reaffirms our position as a reliable supplier that is solidly focused on meeting the quality standards of our customers", stated Kevin Carver, President of Sil-Pro.

Sil-Pro is a Medical Manufacturing Solutions Provider with a strong customer focus. The company has received awards from the medical device community in recognition of its performance as a top supplier. Notable among these is the accomplishment of being named the winner of the coveted Boston Scientific CRM Rhythm Award in 2009.

Sil-Pro's core competencies of Silicone and Plastic Molding as well as Silicone Extrusion are supported by a staff of Automation Engineers, Tool Designers and a state-of-the-art In-House Tool Shop. These manufactured components often feed into secondary operations of pad printing, bonding, sub-assembly, final assembly and final packaging. Projects are managed by dedicated personnel in the Project Engineering and Quality Engineering departments from the prototype stage through final production release.
