Enhanced Medical Silicone Tube Extrusion CapabilitiesDelano, Minnesota: Sil-Pro Silicone Professionals announce a major expansion of its medical silicone tube extrusion capabilities.* New systems provide in-line close tolerance cutting of silicone tubing directly from the extrusion machine as well as in-line spooling and cut-to-length from a spool.

These new systems provide medical OEM’s with new design options for precision accuracy, repeatable quality and fast delivery. Extruded silicone tube sizes range from ID/OD of .020 to 1.0 inch of single lumen, multi-lumen, solid rope and rod tubing. Precise dimensional control of the tubing throughout the part run is ensured by closed loop feedback from a Zumbach laser micrometer. Also available are processes for overmolding onto silicone tube and bonding silicone tubular parts to plastic and metal parts using medical grade adhesives.

new design options for precision accuracyPad printing on silicone tubing of identification marks for positioning purposes and/or lot traceability is also available. Optional color characteristics of the tubing includes clear, translucent, opaque and colored versions.
